SociaLights Clubs

Enlightening the Way Kids Act & React in Society

Our social clubs are designed to enlighten the way kids act and react in society. They gain the skills and confidence to become "stars" among peers and within the community.

Handwriting Clubs

Teaching & Learning How to Write & Shine!

Handwriting is a complex activity that can greatly impact school performance and confidence. Our new Handwriting Clubs are designed for kids of all ages who struggle with sensory processing and fine motor skills. The two main objectives of the handwriting clubs are to:

  • assess and improve pencil grasp, posture, and hand strength

  • assess and improve the sensory perceptual skills (including visual perception and proprioception--awareness of body in space) necessary for legible handwriting

Movement Groups

We believe it’s possible to make movement fun for kids and educational for parents.

Our physical therapy classes are designed to address gross motor movement through skilled, fun instruction. Parent/Tot classes are 45-minutes and Kids classes (ages 3-12) are one hour. All classes are structured as small groups guided by our experienced therapists, set in loving, encouraging environments.

Reading Groups

Learn to Read. Read to Learn!

Lumiere’s reading groups are designed by our speech therapists for optimum teaching and learning. We use the Orton-Gillingham approach to target the essential components of reading:

  • Phonics

  • Phonemic awareness

  • Spelling

  • Vocabulary

  • Reading fluency

  • Reading comprehension

Little Nibblers

Dedicated to helping children learn how to play, explore and enjoy eating their food!

Our Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S.)-trained therapists will help you and your child create positive experiences with food and establish healthy mealtime routines. We will also work to increase your child’s food repertoire and overall intake. Parents are encouraged to learn and participate as building healthy eating habits extends far beyond our classrooms.
