Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, inside the NewCity complex at 1500 N Clybourn Ave, Suite C-105, Chicago, IL 60610, Lumiere is proud to be a trusted resource for families seeking expert PT services in Chicago.
What Is Pediatric Physical Therapy?
Pediatric PT focuses on helping children improve strength, mobility, coordination, and motor skills so they can confidently engage in everyday activities. Whether a child is working on sitting independently, walking without support, improving balance, or recovering from an injury, physical therapy helps unlock their potential.
Our licensed pediatric physical therapists at Lumiere use evidence-based techniques, child-centered strategies, and lots of encouragement to help children achieve meaningful milestones.
Signs Your Child Might Benefit from PT
Physical therapy is commonly recommended for children with:
- Developmental delays or missed motor milestones
- Low muscle tone (hypotonia)
- Neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy
- Torticollis or plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome)
- Difficulty with balance, walking, or coordination
- Recovery after orthopedic surgery or injury
Even if there’s no formal diagnosis, if you’re noticing delays in gross motor development or signs of physical discomfort, a PT evaluation can provide clarity, and a plan forward.
